In early 2026, Tayta Willak made the decision to move his healing center from Agato, Otavalo — where Pakarinka Ushay was founded over two decades ago — to a new home in Perucho, Pichincha, in the hidden mountain valley known as La Ruta Escondida, about one hour from Quito.
With this move came a new name: Kinti Yaya — meaning “The Great Hummingbird Spirit” in Kichwa. A new energy, a new landscape, and a new chapter — rooted in the same ancestral wisdom and the same deep commitment to healing that has always guided this work.

- Expanded team: Maja Krauss has joined as co-founder of Kinti Yaya, bringing professional nature therapy and psychedelic integration support
- Deeper integration focus: Every retreat now includes online preparation and integration sessions
What stays the same
- Tayta Willak — the same seventh-generation Kichwa Otavalo yachak, leading all ceremonies
- The same authentic Andean Kichwa traditions and ceremonies — Ayahuasca, Huachuma, energy cleansings, sound healing

A new chapter begins! Over the years, many beautiful and meaningful journeys were shared at Tayta Willak’s old Healing Center Pakarinka Ushay. We carry deep gratitude for everyone who walked this path with us and for all the healing, connection, and transformation that unfolded there.
As life continued to move and evolve, so did we. Through personal changes, new visions, and a deep calling to create something aligned with the next chapter of our lives, we – Tayta Willak & Maja – began a new journey together:
Kinti Yaya – Ayahuasca Retreat & Andean Healing Sanctuary
Nestled in the peaceful, sacred mountains of the Ruta Escondida, Kinti Yaya is a new home for ancestral healing, nature connection, integration, and heartfelt transformation — rooted in the same spirit as before, while opening space for something new to grow.
